Well threw second gear today. Busted a hole in the case. Don't know what to do now. Have a 330 and don't know if you can only replace one side case or if you have to replace both and get them bored out. Ill put some aftermath picture up tomorrow. It was a muddy mess. Oh well crap happens.

The complete motor only had probably 40 hours on it. I just switched to bel ray oil. Hope thats not the reason. I love riding in the snow. But im unemployed at the moment. So the r and the maxxis 4 snows will be in a warm garage this winter.

Heres the damage. If i had the broken piece i would get it welded. I have another damaged case but it would need to be machined for the cylinder.

wow man, that 250r has been rode hard! Are you sure second gear exploded or did the chain get so much **** in it and get to tight and pull the case in half. you better clean the **** off that and check for any more fractures.

Positive it was second gear because pieces of it was laying on the ground. GOing out to clean it now that it has warmed up alittle.

It was the big one. Going to pull it apart this week and see how much damage was done. I got muddier being towed out because the strap was 5 foot long and a rhino can throw some mud.

im debating on puting this motor back together or parting out this motor and a parts motor I have and buying a motor. I'm finding motors pretty cheap. But right now i'm just selling stuff to see where im at.
