Would prolly look good at first but with black as your riding it will be baking mud and things on leaving spots and eventually would look like crap I would think.

I powdercoated my yosh pipe on my gixxer almost 3 yrs ago w no probs at all!. For headpipes i was told if you do a heat setting ( like a break-in) it would hold.

most powder coats gel at 400*

high temp is about 700*
EGT(exhaust gas temps run 1000-1600* ) ina properly running engine so it will become soft and gel and then dirt n everything else will be stuck in the finish.

ceramic coat the pipe in satin black or gloss black or the semi chrome ceramic coat

jet hot does this as and a couple othere i cant think of right now.

I have done 2 silencers from my 250r,s one white and one black, and one from my 450r and that was done in red now if you talking about the header send it to jet hot coatings that is nice stuff, better than the coating that comes on aftermarket exhausts.

the hi-temp will hold up real good if the pipe prep work is done correctly. Some of the powders woll go over 1000 easy with out any problems.

Powder coat was NOT designed for exhaust. It holds heat, so therfore your motor is gonna get hotter. I've talked a guy in my area that does powder coating about this. He recommended ceramic coating.......which he does as well. He said that the ceramic actually helps disperse heat. Just my 2cents.....

ceramic reflects heat it depends on if its on the out side of pipe or inside

it will contain the heat inside the pipe generally which is what u want it should lower outer temps on the pipe near plastic n such

my inframe drag pipe is gonna get a ceramic coat

I've always loved the bare pipes, lol.

I ran the bare Sparks TT on my bikes. Just gottas steel wool and WD them after you wash so they don't get crusty.

I loved having blinged out 250R's and then a crusty *** pipe, haha.
