LOOKING FOR THE VIN NUM ON MY 1987 LT 500 AND CANT FIND IT . IF ANYONE COULD HELP PLEASE LET ME KNOW

Should be on the bottom frame rail on the left hand side, just in front of the shifter. It's on a plate welded to the rail. If it has been powder coated you may not be able to read the numbers.
