Nobama wins Noble Peace Prize (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33237202/ns/politics-white_house?GT1=43001)

So apparently they give out the Noble Peace Prize for being the best at spending other people's money and increasing the racial divide in a nation.
Unreal.:scary:
If he ever actually does anything good, they'll have to give him another one.
BTW: the nomination deadline was Feb. 1 2009 or TWO WEEKS after Obama took office.

Yeah I'm not gonna knock the guy (not that I dont have plenty to say about the topic one way or the other), but the simple fact above is pretty rediculous.

All will be donated to charities.

If you actually take the time to read the article , he even mentions that he is humbled about winning it and says he's not even on the same level as others that were nominated.

Basically he's saying that he doesn't deserve it because others have done more than he has.

He's not the one that nominated himself and voted to be the recipient.

Its sickening to think that Obama won the award. Obama has not done anything positive for the country. There are many others who deserve the award before him. The pilot who landed the plane in the hudson beats Obama by far. That's a quick one off the top of my head.

Qstar........your reply is correct, however it is also a perfect example of the problem. I did take the time to read the articles and when you read my posts on the subject you'll see no inflammatary O remarks.
The problem is that the Obama fanboy-ism runs so deep, not only in our country, but abroad. And for what ? Why does a Norwegien commitee nominate & vote for a man who had accomplished nothing. Why do so many folks from different countries rally (yourself included?) around someone who has yet to do anything that affects you ? The problem here is......

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE MEDIA TURNS A POLITICIAN INTO A CELEBRITY ? We have a situation were a country (maybe a world?) can be brainwashed simply by what they are told to believe by not just their friends, family, and collegues, but by their tv. The sheep will follow as long as they are led. We are being led down a path to socialism and noone can see it.

I know, It was an attempt at sarcasm. I just think that Obama has not done anything to bind or improve our position with other countries. I personally think we think we should do less socializing and try to work on our internal problems and focus on our own affairs.

i would argue the opposite. he has tried too hard to snuggle to other leaders and in the process is taking the "fangs" out of america.
Think about something here...he has talked about sitting down and meeting with Ahmedenijad(sp?) and othe radical islamic leaders to talk it out! The only thing that accomplishes is lending credibility to those who wish you and I harm. I may not have agreed with Bush on everything, but I darn sure had faith that anyone who posed a threat to my country would be dealt with with extreme prejudice. I liked that feeling.
There will be another terrorist attack on this country as long he keeps giving wackos credibility. Also as long as congress continues to cut defense spending to fund b.s. "spread the wealth" programs.
F22 Raptor=program cut
F35 Joint Strike fighter=program cut
New Stratigic Bomber=program cut

But they will try to push through universal health care! A program that WILL hurt small buissiness. Remember, this is an outfit that has nearly bankrupted social security and couldn't even administer the "cash for clinkers" program. I'm not chancing my family's health care with those bozos.

WOW this is very true. As young as I am and have witnessed, happen to my parents, I can say that I certainly have no faith in the future of these attempts.

you just explained why you feel so strongly about your opinion.

the real problem here is that ordinary people like you, then next guy, and even me (yes i will admit it) cling way to hard to our own traditional beliefs and NOBODY and i mean NOBODY in the world has the open-mindedness to actually see what is going on. we all make assumptions based on what we hear from other people and not what we see for ourselves. so do me a favor and take the time to actually study what obama is doing. dont get me wrong though i dont believe in everything he is doing either but that is because i took the time to actually read up on the guy. however i do believe what he is trying to do with nuclear proliferation and stopping the production and stockpiling of nuclear weapons, because somewhere down the line there will be an organization that come into power with an itchy trigger finger and start a whole world of mess.

i do take the time to study "what he's up to". that is why i feel strongly about it. My job is too understand how his policies will affect my company and my employees. So far, it has been negative even soley in a professional stand point, if the proposed health care bill passes, the effect it will have on my buissiness will result in at least 2 of my 21 employees losing their jobs. People that I need to produce the level work that I need to cover my overhead. Dont say that I dont research b/c I have to.

Do I cling to my traditional beliefs ? You bet I do, however I also am guided by what will be the best for me and my buissiness. So when something comes down the pike that will benefit me or the company, I'll be his fan.
The problem here is that is the the left-wing has always tried to position themselves as the "friend of the little guy/believers in the American dream", but they are blatantly trampling that ideal to further their own misguided agendas. Since the Clinton era the Democratic party has been about slef service and increasing the size of government, which is the antithesis of the party has preached since its inception.

Tell me this....Do you believe that it is a good idea for O to have a sit-down with Ahmadenijad, as he's propsed? Now, before you answer please remember the 45min. anit-semetic tirade that he(Ahmedin) went off on before beign booed out of the UN a couple months ago. Doing so will be an absolute slap in the face of Israel.

WWRD?
What Would Reagen Do ?

I'm still waiting for this guy to get a noble peace prize. Read the story. Very cool.

The Man Who Prevented WWIII

Probably not—but you may very well owe him your life.

Petrov, a former member of the Soviet military, didn’t actually do anything but that’s precisely the point.

In 1983, Petrov held a very important station: As lieutenant colonel, he was in charge of monitoring the Soviet Union’s satellites over the United States, and watching for any sign of unauthorized military action.

He will be followed no mater what he dose or doesn’t do.
Just wait there’s more crap to come.

Lol well that would prove that he aint born here cause the Bible says the anti-christ will rise up or come up from the east(europe most likely).

10-17-2009, 12:34 AM
on that topic I said it a long time ago there were the names of the antichrists and Mabus is one of them, switch some letters around the BAM and add the O to the begining and another A to the end. The US could be the United States. Just saying...
