Thinking of getting a steering stabilizer??

I have a 02 400ex, and i've been thinking of getting a steering stabilizer. I've never had one before, and i'm getting tired of hitting rocks and haveing the bars jump out of my hands. I don't know much about them or how they work. So I has hoping you guys could give me some advice.

the stick ones wear out rather quickly and some are not rebuildable , but they are better than nothing and with proper alignment when you install it , it'll last a whole lot longer. if i was looking to buy i'd save up and buy a nice one like prescision or elka's system 5

I just wish he'd retun my emails reguarding getting a custom made one for my wifes 250ex.

(he dosen't currently offer one for the 250ex, but said he would do one for me.)
