how do you tell if the the jet is to big or the needle on the wrong noch without taking out the sparkplug every time. It is a ***** to take the sparkplug out anytime you do something different. i saw on this one forum that when you let off the gas and it backfires than just take the jet down one size and your good to go. does it work? Any input would be helpful right now
THANKS!!!!!!!!

if you are popping on decel you are most likely too lean already on your pilot circuit not on your main circuit. If it was me i would try to turn the f/a screw out 1/2 a turn and see if it goes away. How does the plug look now? try to get a pic of it and post it for us to see. if it is black your too rich, white too lean, brown your good. then just fine tune it to get it to quit popping with the f/a and you are good. steve

It's handy to have an 18mm deep-well thin walled socket. That's the only way I can do it. I don't know about everyone else, but I find it helpful to remove the gas tank so you can reach the plug easier.
I hope that was helpful.

I recommend a ratchet to attach to the socket and extension suggested above. No need to pull the tank, that's just odd.

Grab ahold of the yellow part of the plug wire and give it a pull, it comes right off.
A spark plug wrench is still REALLY hard to use. I still say use the socket, but maybe it's just me.

The OEM socket is the easiest thing you can use. Once you get that wire out of the way you should be home free.
