Ok I hate to ask but I need the help. I was having a smoking issue with my quad. I put in a 440 with 11.1. And had the head sent out to get cleaned up with new seals. The bike so far has sparks advanced keyway, stage 2 HC, 450r carb, hmf slip on, 440 running on 110 octane. I need help because it doesn't fell that fast??? Doesn't smoke either. - think the jetting is way out of wack. If I go WOT threw a few gears it will fall on its face and die. To much fuel? I have a 175 main and 45 pilot at sea lvl? Please any help would be greatly appreciated

my dad is having the same problem granted it is a warrior tho we have switched carbs on it a coupla times and we don't know what thre problem is either when we throw in new carb it will run fine for the day but after that no way we will keep messin with it and i will let you know if we find out anything

well i live at sea level also its 50 to 75 morning to night ans i have a 185 and 55 450r carb i have the hrc needle and it feels pretty good if you ease into the throttle to wot but if you were to stomp on it it would run good through the low mid it hiccups and top it pulls. i have a feeling its the hrc needle. im tweaking it now ill let you know once i found the biscuit and gravy.

oh and watch out with the sparks key in your 440 it might make some heat but then again you do run 110 i just run pump but premium only.

I would go down one on the main and see what happens. What slot do you have the needle clip located?

To be honest I have never playe wwith needle and don't really know where to put it?

move the clip higher on the needle leaner it is and move it down to make it richer and that controls the 3/4 to wot just about works with you main jet
