For 600 I think you can get Lonestar? Those for that price range would be the best I would think. To be honest I think if I were to buy new arms again and was on a budget I would get used then just get new bushings and ball joints and have a fresh coat of powder put on them and you could do that for alot less than $600. Just my .02

you bring a good point, i like to buy things new but if i replace the bushings and ball joints and new powder coat thats like new. THANKS

Then again you could be buying someone's problem. You don't know if they crashed the bike bad and the A arms could be tweaked... Besides If I was only gonna save 50-75 bucks after doing all that work, I'd rather buy new and be done with it. I got lucky and found a dude with brand new chrome plus 3's on Ebay. for well less then 50percent off..

thats the reason why i said i like to buy new. but i would have to see how much i would be saving, if it was only 50-75 more i would definitely get new a-arms

The only beef I have with Burgard is they use small ball joints. The shaft on them is a bit smaller than the some of the others.

thats what a lot of people complain about, but for his description of his riding style it shouldn't be an issue. i'd rather save the $200 and put it towards something else.. like a little starter fund for shocks. i have been abusing mine pretty good for 2 years and i have nothing but good things to say about them.

Well I have them on my 250r right now just waiting on shocks so I guess I will see. I have never had a problem with the thicker joints on some other brands so hopfully they wont be the weak link. Other than that for the price you cannot beat them. I couldnt beat them this summer when i got the arms for my 250. I will take a racing company that I can contact through a phone or this site anyday over the ebay brand arms. They actually mounted up alot better/easier but not sure if it was the bike or the brand arms but for my 400 it took some adjusting if you will when i first got my herrmann arms.

they look like a pretty good set of arms i think fro the money i might do these, but has anyone ever had a problem with the small ball joints, are they about the same as stock or even smaller

Its the ball joint shaft. The threaded part that goes into the a arm.

theres no shaft on the stock arms. the ball joints are pressed in and you can't replace them.

I got a set of used Gibson long travel a-arms off of eBay for $325 or so a few years ago for my 250r. Fit great and pretty heavy duty.

The housers on the 416ex are nice looking too, not sure how much they run price wise.
