Hey guys I just bought a 2006 400EX frame to replace my current 2000 frame that is bent. I thought the only difference was the addition of the headlight brackets up front.
Where/how does the CDI box mount on the newer frames? On my 2000 frame there is a small tab welded to the upper right frame rail for the CDI to slide onto. The 2006 frame doesn't have this. Same thing with the green and white electrical connectors (the big ones, not the small bullet connectors). My 2000 frame has tabs for the connectors to mount to the frame, but the 2006 doesn't have them.
How do these items mount up on the newer frames?
Here's a pic of my 2000 frame. The CDI mount tab is on the left, the two tabs for the white/green connectors are in the middle, and there is one white connector tab to the far right.
