You just tighten (snug) them in a criss-cross pattern.

I know yamaha is 5.2 or 7.8, not sure, but im sure suzuki has a torque spec also, "just snug" doesnt mean anything, but its your motor not mine...

ugh now im scared i havent put the cover back on yet cause i have the quad still torn apart. ( replacing valves) but i cant find anything that tells me the torque spec and im thinking snug is a hit or miss because snug to me can be difrent to someone else. :ermm:

The bolts bottom out against the posts that they screw into. Snug means when they are bottomed and wont back out.

Yeppers ^^^

And Outcast, in the manual it says to "tighten", which was what I said. I did then add in parenthesis snug... Once they are snug, they are tightened. Didn't want him using a half inch drive ratchet and really cranking on them! :p I do prefer torque specs though when working on engine parts..

i believe it is 8 ft.lbs. for the spring bolts
