13:1 piston cp.....dropped two oil rings so far. runs for about two hours , then it breaks the oil ring and smokes like a fraight train.

what part of the oil ring is breaking? the scrapers or the middle one? are you checking the gaps before you install?

brother. yea the gaps were checked. he also wanted me to ask do stock rings work on a a aftermarket piston?

ive never heard of that happening, you sure your using the right rings? if i were you i think i would just get a new piston. Check to make sure that the ring groove isnt nicked and holding the ring up, maybe they are breaking during install also. make sure they arent overlapped when putting the cylinder on

its a brand new piston , with brand new rings. in a brand new cylinder. thats why im kinda lost here
