Finally got her somewhat picture worthy. This thing was a basketcase when I got it. Still a work in progress. Let me know what you guys think.

Looks good
2nd pic from the top is sweet.

Looks like a really fun place to ride around at

Im not a fan of cut fenders either. They were like that when I bought it and I can't afford new plastics yet...lol...The width I like though. It handles off cambers alot better.

I took a couple of those pics with my cell so they came out like crap. But its a real fun place to ride. Kinda like black sand dunes. Then if you wanna ride trails, just head up the mountain.

Went out scouting for deer for a little bit today. I have to drive through this tunnel to get to my hunting spot. Thought you guys might enjoy it.

I don't know what happened to this pic, but it came out pretty cool lookin.

Pic up near the end where I park. Theres another tunnel that leads up to a reservoir a few miles up the mountain, but its blocked off on each end.

Vid of me going through

Its an old mine tunnel that fed water into one of the old coal breakers. You have to crouch down a little to go through, otherwise you'd be scraping the top of your helmet.

Why do so many 400ex's pop up with these rear tires on them? The tread pattern alone doesn't look like it would suit a sport atv?

What do you think of them?

For the terrain I ride in, they're great. I wouldn't recommend them for the track, but they're a real good trail tire. My buddy has Razr2's on his YFZ and on the really bad trails he has a pretty rough time where these tires just claw there way up pretty much anything. His tires only seem to outperform mine on the hard pack.

I had mud sharks on a Warrior awhile back and really liked them. My 400 has the stock tires which are still good but when I go to buy new rears these will be at the top of my short list!

Your 400 looks great!

I'll be honest, performance or not, I think they are terrible looking and wouldn't consider them.

Thats why they're on my quad and not yours ;)

Thats my handy tool/drink/food carrier....lol

Yeah its gettin some lovin but its not lovin me back. The rear axle bearings blew, needs a new carrier, and a frame. Oh, and a new rear sprocket, (chewed it up pretty good). And I'm not even gonna get into the other stuff...haha

Its gettin there though.

Thanks for sharing the pics and video.

It's cool to see what other people are doing...

I'd like to know how you managed the recording of the video?

I'd like to do that sometime.

And as for that front end... do be careful with those wide spaced rims in the rough areas. That much leverage out past the steering knuckle axis at the A-arm can spell disaster.

.Wrekd, what type of tires are those on the back of your ex? I ride alot of trails also and would like to know. They look like they are much better suited for trail riding

One other question about those rear tires. Are they bigger than stock rear tires?

I was holding the camera in my left hand. If you noticed I didn't shift out of 1st gear...lol

Those rims are just temporary til I get some +2's. I probably would've had them by now but everytime I turn around it needs something else.

I hear you brother... always something is seems...

And yeah, if you like wide, new arms and stuff are the way to go... for sure.

Whatever arms you need for the desired width and 4 +1 rims.

Yeah the rims that I bought are actually 3+2's but I flipped em for the little bit extra width. The Mudsharks are so wide that the back end is still about an inch wider then the front. So with the +2 arms and flipping the rims back to 3+2's it should be about perfect.
