Where can I find a 330ex kit? Is it worth the money. How much would it cost to have the head bored out. Where would I take it to have it done? Thanx!!

Four stroke tech, $295, yes, i would think it is worth the money, having it bored and having the sleeve installed is around 110 dollars, Four Stroke Tech can do it, or any good machine shope

Are you thinking you can put this 330ex kit in your 250ex?

No I have a 300ex now with complete white bros exhaust and skids.

o, ok sorry. A 330 kit is awesome but wont work too good without a bigger cam, Bigger exhaust, bigger carb (32 mikuni), high rev cdi at least. Without these mods the 330 kit wont do much. You really dont have to get a 330 exhaus, your WB would do ok it just wouldnt run to its full potential

Ditto. If you are gonna get the 330 kit, youll need a bigger carb, cam, and porting, and a valve job to really see a big gain.

oh you dont needall that stuff, a cam rev kit and pipe will work great with it

Please correct me if im wrong but that sounds like what a 400EX needs to be a 440. A 440 and 330 and really different! Me and crhye250r ACTUALY have 300ex's and I have done ALOT of research and seen many 330's run and i've rode many too. But for a 330 you would need:

#1. 32 MIKUNI CARB
#2. Bigger cam, not a little drop in
#3. Porting & valve job
#4. Remove rev limiter (yes trx400ex you REMOVE the rev limiter on a 300ex)
#5. At least H/D clutch springs

you dont even need a cam you could run a stock pipe if you wanted,,and i actualy have a 400ex and have done recaerch on both

I said 300ex and the motors are totaly different! A 300 is actualy a 280 and a 400 is a 397, so on a 400 you go up 10% toget a 440 and on a 300 (280) you go up 18% therefore you need bigger Carb, cam, porting, valves, and cdi. Trx400ex a 300ex is not a smaller 400

Does a 300ex with a 330 kit (done right) really beat a slightly modded(pipe, filter, jetkit)400ex? In a drag race I mean. I have read that they do... but some of you have ridden a 330ex, so let me know what you have actually seen or ridden and felt for yourself. thanx!:macho

the 330 that dirtwheels had that had like the full thing, cam,carb, porting, valve job, not to mention new suspension and tires and gearing and everything, was only about a quad length in front of a bone stock 400, so no, i doubt that it will be a 400 thats piped, jetted, and filtered

how bad would a stock 300ex lose to a stock 400ex?

Stock to stock, the 400 will kill the little 300. Trust me i have both.

ok i have a 330 kit. well u don't really need allthe stuff their listing. to get allot of profmance all u need is highcompression pistion and vavle springs and u will get allot more profomance. heck u don't need that stuff either.
