Ive been anxiously awaiting to hear the news on this ....!!

This could end up being a very big series on the West Coast . I have a feeling this will be a smash hit

Who knows... maybe they will add more rounds to it each year if it takes off.
Great to see an addition to the West Coast

World ATV Motocross Championship Racing Series Announced
St. George, UT (10/2/2009) -The rumors are true! ATVRiders.com is the first to get confirmation that Off Road Sports, LLC and WORCS series promoter Sean Reddish have a new west coast motocross series in the works. The World ATV Motocross Championship Series will be making its debut this winter with locations scheduled for California, Nevada & Arizona.

The Series is set to run from December 2009 to middle of February in 2010, and the race dates will be carefully planned so they don't overlap any other major ATV motocross racing event, so it should attract plenty of ATV racers from around the country looking for a winter racing series.

There will be a total of four race locations, but each weekend will count as two rounds of racing with races on Saturday & Sunday to bring the total rounds of racing to eight.

Also, the World ATV Motocross Championship Series is the first series on the west coast to be set up similarly to the AMA ATV Motocross Championship in format. The transponder system that has been used by WORCS, has been upgraded to allow for live web timing that is available to a worldwide audience just like with national level events so fans can keep track of their favorite riders’ progress lap by lap from their homes if they are unable to get out to the track.

According to Sean Reddish, the series’ website will be launched in about two weeks to coincide with the official press release and will have more information available regarding race schedule, gate fees, race fees and such.

ATVRiders.com will be posting new information on this exciting new series as soon as it comes available

Wont this pull away from the quadcross and WORCS?

Seems like it would be better to have a central national series.

The tentative dates that they have set so far do not conflict with any other series so it shouldn't take away from either WORCS or quadcross.

Its cool, but maybe a bad time?
It may not conflict on dates to take away riders, but maybe take away riders from other series that are already hurting from low entries.

This is a great idea. This should have little effect on most series being run dec-feb.What this will do is give the national riders and teams back east a great way to prepare for thier season out of the snow. Most of the pros spend part of thier winter in fl , tex , or cali anyway so now more may chose cali with some good winter training races to run. This has been needed for some time.Years ago this was always done with the CMC Golden State Nationals.
