you gatta scroll down. wouldnt this be the same thing as a gt thunder link except adjustable? i would need to mod things just like with the gt thunder link wouldnt i? move the exhaust, mod the subframe, all that bs would need to be done on this too wouldnt it.

Not really the same thing at all. This lowering strut replaces the piece of the stock linkage that attaches to the swingarm. Modified links like the GT Thunder link replace the piece of the linkage that attaches to the frame.

ok now im interested to hear more about it, if its not like the gt thunder links then would the mods to the subframe and exhaust and airbox need to be done? i mean it lowers the ride height more than gt thunders link it just does it in a dif. spot, id love to lower the rear down a bit and thats relatively cheap, but i would already have a gt thunder xc link if i didnt have to do all those mods to make it work.

so can anybody answer that question? are the same mods needed for this link as the gt thunder link?

i believe that this is more for flat track, where there is not a lot of suspension travel needed, than it is for mx or xc.

your suspension would work just like it does now because the geometry is not being changed. All that's changing is the length of the "dogbone" that is bolted to the shock linkage and the swingarm. It basically moves the swingarm up which lowers the quad

My friend had one on his 250r back in the day and his broke, He was racing motocross only with the 250r. I think that they are more for flattrack or TT.

I got one on my EX right now. Mine was made by CRJ (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA-450R-TRX450R-400EX-adjustable-REAR-LOWERING-KIT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQha shZitem3355f82a18QQitemZ220485659160QQptZMotorsQ5f ATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories) I use it for TT stuff. CRJ even say in the instructions it's not made for jumping on. I have 3 races on it now with out any problems and it handles tons better with it lowered. Just gotta be careful to not run it to long and be aware that the shock link will hang down more. I had to leave the skid plate off. CFM makes a non-adjustable link as well, probably be better for MX. The CFM stuff goes for 45 dollars on ebay new, but don't come with the bushing. I think the CRJ product is a lot nicer overall. But it is $88.

I had one but i took it off and replaced it with a stock one and im much happier. It made the quad sit way to low, i would bottom out just on trails.

Here is a pic with it on, look how low the quad sits just from hitting a burm.

I would not recommend it
