Has anybody ever put 2 race quads in the back of 1 truck?

Looking for tips/suggestions to be able to fit 2 in 1 bed.

I figure with the tailgate down I have 8 feet. 1 quad would have to be tilted, but I'd like to see pics if anybody has them otherwise a good description would help.

I've seen people set the front tires on the roof of the truck, and then stood the second bike up behind that (letting it rest on the seat of the first). Pretty impractical and not very safe, if you ask me.

I've also seen a platform that set on top of the bed, and hung over several inches. Two fourwheelers would sit side by side. I wouldn't have one though.

dont ever remind me of that
im still scarred from watching that a year and a half ago:ermm:
WARNING!: (if your buddy ever says hey man, come watch this wierd video i found on the computor, DONT do it)

but i was going bring up what scro said about the bed platforms, ive seen a few, and while they are good idea, if your truck is lifted at all or even sits high your going to have to get some long *** ramps

the other thing is that they are usually made of diamond plate, etc. and are very expensive

if you have to you can fit 2 quads and 2 mx bikes on there.(buddy's truck took a s*** on the way to go ride) stand the first quad up in the front of the bed. we had 250r s so i took off the rear fenders of the one standing. we ran the second up on the bed and pulled the ramp off the tail gate. then we strapped the rear quad to the front bed mounts and moved it as close to the edge of tail gate as we could. next we pulled the quad that was standing back a little until you can tip the front wheels on the cab of the truck. roll the rear tires tight to the front tires of the one that is already strapped. run 2 straps from the rear axle of the standing quad to the rear bed mounts under the a-arms of the quad that is sitting on the tailgate. tighten all the straps to lock the 2 quads together. now take 2 straps from the front bed mounts to the frame like behind and under the radiator (don't forget to put your fenders under there first)tighten them down. finish by using 2 more straps from the rear of the rear quad to the rear bed mounts and tighten.
we all now have trailers and multiple vehicles but when we were in high school we did what ever it took to go ride. i also had a cr 250 and a kx 250 over the wheel wells. we didn't want to leave anything other than the truck on the side of the road

That doesn't help, maybe you didn't consider the fact that 2 in digit form is too short to search so is two and 1/one, and quad and truck brings every single thread. Maybe you could point them out.

2-330's - just curious about the likelyhood of scratching the cab while doing this? It's a brand new truck.

I may have to consider disssasembly of at least one. I bought a quad once and put it in the trunk of my car but it had the swingarm/axle and a-arms taken off.

Or I might be able to borrow a 8 foot bed truck and with tailgate down should allow it better.

i had a 8' bed and the frame could scratch your truck. can you borrow or rent a trailer?

I had an 8 foot bed and a tool box. I stood one up and set the front wheels on the tool box. then turned the other one sideways and it fit good, wasn't too hard to get in and out. One was a 400ex and the other was a kfx400.

Were the front wheels of the one that was sideways, on the bed rail?

Put them both on the grab bar and strap away.I hauled 2 250R's in my 83 ElCamino in 87 with the tailgate closed , 2 riders gear , 3 days supplies , and firewood. This was for a 2 1/2 hr trip each way but I did have airshocks.I would never let the tires ride on the cab of a good truck.

well it's not a truck bed, but it may give you some ideas.

My trailer's bed is 5' wide x 11' long. the contractors rack keeps them very secure, with no chance of tossing one out while driving down the road....

I've done it several times stand both quads up on the back bar in the bed of the truck. I love the look on peoples faces when you pull in somewhere lol. Whats worse is when we did that and had 3 quads sideways on a trailer with the edges of the tires hanging off both the sides and front and back. It was a real hazzard but it was a lot of fun.

Where did the rest of your truck go?

Rent a uhaul or something. People would let u use a trailer before they let u use there 8' bed truck.

Nope, big truck. It was an 84 Chevrolet fullsize. The KFX fully fit inbetween the rails, and was half in the bed half on the tailgate. It worked well and we could put the gear bags under neath the toolbox and the 400ex. I wish I could find a picture to explain it a little better.

flammable - I think I might be able to rig something like that, do you have any more info on how you made those or if you bought those?

I saw foru atvs put in back of Dodge with an 8 ft bed with the tailgate closed back in high school. We were poor and had no trailer. I wish we had taken a picture of it.

I saw a 1500 Chevy SB truck going down the road recently that had a platform on top of the bed rails with 2 wheelers on it side to side, looked sketchy, but didn't get a close look. As long as you can strap things down well enough...

I put a 9' flat bed on the back of my plow truck. Got it for 500 bucks. Its great and will hold 2 quads and all of my gear no problem.
