I honestly have never heard about them or knew they make a lithium ion battery. Where are you looking to purchase one?

I've been looking at designing something on my own, that is until I found this. Should allow one to mount the battery under seat easier, etc... Plus life expectancy is 5-7 years... cost about as much as a high end lead-acid battery. 80 bucks.

The weight and size savings wouldn't be worth the extra hassle, in my opinion.
