http://lafayette.craigslist.org/mcy/1397917889.html .. he said it has 450 kit with carb and pistons and all that stuff. curtis sparks pipe, cam, etc. he said it had a burning smell so he changed the starter, but brought it to shop and they said it was bad connection so it needs wiring harness. opinions?

a bad connection or a short? if its a bad connection or ground just find it. if you change the harness you'll have to take it all off anyway. If its a short then yeah maybe you'll have to change the entire harness. does it run as is? have a title? If all it really needs is the harness then that is a good deal. Looks like it has some other nice extras as well!

Edit- I say offer him $800.

talked him down to $700. he said bike is fast. I sure wish I could hear it first. will the harness on fit from 2003 model? or what other models fit?
