Who's Running Venom Pistons

I remember back in the day when i used to check out the 450r specific sites, i have long stopped (im in and out of the sport, but i like all of you guys over here so i keep snooping around)

but they used to brag about all of the Venom pistons. I remember saying to myself that i was going to use one when i finally rebuilt my R motor, well I am thinking about rebuilding soon and I am curious as to why i dont see anyone on this site using them? They make a 12.25:1 which is what I am in interested in because its pump gas friendly.

So....who is using them over here and how do you like it?

I'm using a venom 12.25:1 97mm and I like it

I'm running the 14.25:1 piston. Love it. Race gas gets expensive though.

im running the 14.25 too, i love it, it was a little harder to break it though, smoked for a while but after beating the piss out of it it was better, i just mix c12 and premium 50/50 and its fine

I might try that mix. I've been runnig straight C12 for the past year and a half.

thats a good idea mixing the gas 50/50. never thought of that. try that out lonnie in the beast. might work damn nice and save a few bucks in the long run.

I had a 12.25 stock bore, a buddy used it a little and put a valve through it. I have a 12.25 480 now installed and a 14.25 480 on the shelf. I got all my pistons used and have had no trouble out of any of them.

Even if you do not go with a venom I would go with a cp piston, their shelf 12.5 piston would be a nice upgrade.
