i dont know what parts you need or how to do (i am interested in this too) but i do know i want to do it, another thread on here posted that there is around a 1-2 hp increase, dyno proven. some people say that is not that much but think about it these motors make around 30 hp so 2 hp is alot. that would be like adding 25 hp to a 400 hp car motor, thats alot.

He's not the man its just this topic has been beat to death! No offense Buster but jesus some of the questions asked lately. Right after the sticky thread was created. We are almost better off not having it.
I cannot believe all the new people with 400's. Are they giving them away someplace? If so i would like to know so that I can get one for the wife!

Don't be a hater.....:blah:
I'm sure you've asked a few questions that have been answered once or 1000x before (because I know for sure I have!!). It's not like we're talking about rocket science.....the very idea of a forum is to talk about something to death.....and no offense taken, and none meant with this.

It depend which carb (year) you will use. 04-05 are not the same style as 06- xxxx. 04 -05 are (butterfly) 42mm style and the other are FCR 42mm. I just put a 450r 2006 carb on my 400ex and it's crazy man . You have a lot of modifications to do but it's worth it . If you want more info to know how I did , I can send you pics to help you. Sorry for my english, I speak french.

No airbox , use UNI filter to fit on the carb
