the pc is pretty tuff.....but if you ride in a ton of rocks....it will eventually get beat to death....like chrome or just about any finish will. high gloss black with clear is the best black.

i have several deep blues....just have to pick the shade you like:p

I was thinking about putting my tax return to good use this and gettin my frame pc'ed how would I ship it? And is shipping spendy or not to bad? Any ideas

Pappy

shipping from minn. would be about $40 each way. it may be more logical to have it done locally.:(

I didn't know of any where locally that would do a frame, all the places I called said they wouldn't do it. And then today I picked up a copy of ATVSport and this issue has listing of performance shops for various things and, one that does powder coating in Minn. So I'll check 'em out, see what they can do. Thanks though.

has anyone mastered pc ing stock 400ex a-arms without melting the plastics in the ball joints??. If so what temp are you baking them at? I want to do mine, but dont want to ruin them.

Pappy

the only way to do them....is to only bake the powder to flow out. the temerature is low enough to not even bake the grease, but with that comes the fact that it isnt a strong bond to the metal. its almost like a 1/2 arse pc job to be honest. it still looks good but its durability has yet to prove itself. cooking them further then flowout will start the plastic ball joint cup to melt....and it could become brittle causing premature ball joint failure. ranger has a set up that will convert your stock a arms into an aftermarket style ball joint set up. but IMO .....just save up and get some a arms. there are plenty of used ones around.....and i can get ya a smokin deal on a set of new ones if ya cant find any.:)
