I have a 426 kit in my 400ex that i bought used, they dont use a stroker crank do.

It has a lower end noise, like a knocking noise, I am thinking its the crank, so i am put a crank in it, that is why i am asking.

thanks

no offence intended here, but I REALLY have no clue, what you are trying to ask.

i wouldnt think that a 426 would have a stroker in it, but any crank can have bad bearings or something to make a noise in it. i would suggest that if you want to have a mean mofo you put one in it if you have the funds. strokers rip.

You need to find out what the noise is, dont go out buying a new crank and then find out it was something else. Do you know what you are looking at price wise changing a crank? Its not cheap if you do it yourself and rediculous if you pay someone. Make sure its the crank before you go buying one, thats all. Heh if you need one you need one, bummer.

i had the same problem found out i used a stock head gasket. you need a 440 head gasket.

and that would cause a knocking noise in the bottom end?
