Damn. I really need to get out there. AND i really need to get to Atco. There are so many people on this site that I want to meet in person and I think the only one that I have actually met is Josh (MXJunkie)

Pappy. We need to have an official ATVRiders.com group ride. I joined right after the last 'Official' one. Why hasnt anything been established like this since 05? Maybe we could do an East Coast at Breezewood and then you west coast guys could do something at Primus or something.

Which 450?

For everyone that has been there, how intimidating is it? My friend and I just got bikes about a month ago and have been outta the sport for about 2-3 years. We really would like to make a trip there this saturday but arent sure if it will be a good trip or not since im sure we both really suck.

Tried several times, but noone ever seems to have a good weekend etc. Usually on the big BPG event weekends, the place is filled with members....its the ones who ride the keyboard that never show!

hey thanks for the words of wisdom, we would like to come out this weekend but not sure if we can fit it in our timeline. We only have Sat to ride and wouldnt be able to camp friday night. That would make for a long day Saturday with getting up that early. Who knows though we might try to make it out.

Jesse, did you get a new bike? It looks a lot nicer since the last time I saw it!

Also, is anyone going to be there this Friday? I'll be there with some people....hoping for NO RAIN!!!

And I live 5 minutes outside of York and it takes exactly 2 hours to get there, like ATVMX33 said..not a bad drive at all and worth every mile!

Tracks and weather is looking good for this weekend. They did call for a shower sat morning. But they just changed it and now its suppose to be friday night. I expect the tracks to be in good shape no matter what the weather does.

Mattman88
10-01-2009, 10:32 AM
Dan do you have any trails along with the tracks? I thought I read somewhere that you had a small amount of trails so I figured I would ask.

True. One day there it rained 3 times during the day. It dried up within a half hour after the shower each time. But I had fun riding the track while it was raining anyways!!

That was the most fun ive ever had in my entire life, even though I sucked hardcore lol. I dont know what to compare the track to because I havent been there before, and I think it has changed. I certainly liked it alot and plan on going back and making another day trip during the week before it closes for the winter. Only had one small layover which surprised me and came home unscathed, just very sore and tired.

Which 450?
10-04-2009, 12:50 PM
On the way home now. Had a good time today, awesome track conditions, dont really even have to wash the bikes. I cased a double on the intermediate track and goofed up my ankle. Jesse weaver got intimate with the flag jump.

jesseweaver
10-04-2009, 09:27 PM
yea lol not too much to explain. i hit the flag jump and came up short, no problem i just skipped out over. next lap i tried a gear higher and shifted way to late and had zero power and the nose just dropped. i'm not too sure where i landed but i think it was a little over 3/4s of the way to the lander. i landed all on the front wheel and it was a little sideways and i flew out over the bike and out over the lander. if you've been there lately you know now its a long kinda steep downhill there so i sailed the whole way down. bike went cartwheeling from what i hear and i ended up down towards the tires down there probably a good 50, 60 feet from where the nose of the bike first hit.

i alright i think, just sore all over. my right knees pretty swollen and bruised and same with my right elbow. and my whole back is scraped up and bruised and it hurts like crazy, thats probably the worst part. every time i move my spine like bend down for something or anything it feels like its on fire. other than that just a bunch of scrapes and a bad headache still and my 3 middle fingers on my right hand are pretty purple from the last knucle up and pretty swolen. dont think they're broke though.

and the rear of the bike is a little corked lol the subframe and exhaust points to the left. my pipe is pretty much over my rear tire now. yea well it was time for exhaust anyways.

and i think 2 other people today did about the same thing as me on the same jump. i know at least one other guy on a yellow LTR did.

outacontrol
10-05-2009, 05:19 AM
yeah that jump doesnt have much of a take off ramp for the speed your going at it, so i could see it making you into a lawn dart if you werent into the power. its a pretty good distance to fall off that downramp. glad you werent hurt more serious.

jesseweaver
10-05-2009, 08:29 AM
yea heres the only picture i got yesterday. i tihnk my front wheel hit somewhere towards the right edge of the picture. i ended up laying down in those tires

New jumps are awesome on the big track. I just got a chance to ride my 400ex out there. Still didn't nut up enough to try the downhill tripple. Doubled it, and I think I can get it - next time for sure. The uphill tripple tripple is killer fun !!!! The new flag jump is alot of work on a 400 but still very fun. Should be excellent on a 450 !

No rain today even though they called for it - don't believe me check out our new weather cam that shows a live shot of the tracks every 10 seconds : http://www.breezewoodprovinggrounds.com/cam.html

......First off - NEVER Trust the weather man, I think he's a crack head. I'd dress warm for this weekend, but definately wouldn't worry about snow or rain. It never rains in Breezewood, and if it does I'll just till it in.

Keith Appleby was the guy on the Can Am that took a nasty spill on the step up this past Sunday. He says his motor cut out right at the take off ramp and the bike nose dived. He did break his back, somewhere in the t12 area. He does have feeling and movement in his legs and the Doctor says they will have him up out of bed and walking soon. We are working on having a ride day at the park to help keith with some of the cost of being laid up so long. I'll have more info on the ride and fund raising later this week. I'll be sure to post it here as well. In the mean time I hope everyone will keep keith in their prayers.

Keep in mind you can keep an eye on conditions here on our new web camera on our website. www.breezewoodprovinggrounds.com

Tracks are hard pack now and draining great. As long as its not raining the tracks will be in great shape once I run over them witht the tractor.
