Hi all, I just got my shee, she is a 2002, .30 over, cool head, dyno port 2 into 1, boost bottle, v force reeds..

my question is the person i got it from ran amsoil 32:1, however amsoil rec. 50:1. this has always been open for huge debate but just wondering what people are mixing.

o.t. though, i am looking for a new dyno port silencer too, and cant seem to find one, any suggestions.

thanks,
seth

40:1

I've always ran 32:1. It doesn't hurt to have a LITTLE rich of a mixture, lubrication is a good thing.

Yeah that's true as long as you are jetted to account for it as excess oil can lead to a lean jetting situation.

To tell you the truth - modern oils are so good that they are way over specified and I use 40:1 partly beause it works out as 500ml of oil per 20 litre jerry can, so it's just easy! (Plus it's what I was recommended when I started this game and has always served me well.)

Haha pretty much the same here. Been using 32:1 for as long as I remember.

I usually run Mobile1 synthetic, Maxima Super M, or Klotz.

Occasionally I also run Fuch's, which is actually really good.

as long as you are stock running stock compression you should run 32:1 if you have an aftermarket crank port work high comp i would only run 50:1 because 32 to 1 would tear your motor up

32:1 would tear your motor up :o :ermm: , I doubt it. do a little research and you will find that 32:1 is the best ballanced ratio if your looking for both performance and a long lasting topend and crank. as long as your jetted for it, a motor ran at 32:1 would last a lot longer than a motor ran at 50:1 (even if its jetted for the mixture perfectly), its simple............more oil is gonna make your crank and rod bearings last so much longer.

32:1 is what pretty much everyone runs and will not "burn up" your motor. I've always ran 32:1 as does my father. It's the most popular mixing ratio.

32:1 is what I run on my gas and alky bikes, Klotz supertech is my choice of pre-mix.......

I'm running Redline Synthetic 2 stroke racing oil 70:1 Been that way for 3 years of hill climbing, dune racing, MX tracking, and everything in between. No problems here. I certainly wouldn't recommend that to just anyone. You gotta really know your girl to ride her that hard with that little lube.....LOL The way your set up, and if your using a quality synthetic 2-stroke lube, that 50:1 is gunna be just fine. Anything else, it's best to stay in the area of that 32:1 to be safe.

Wait a minute; what?? 32:1 is a richer mixture than 50:1....that means MORE oil, not less. Lubrication is a good thing.

That being said, my banshee friend and I run between 32:1 and 40:1. I've been mixing a bit richer lately in my 250r...more towards 32:1 using Klotz Super Techniplate and have been having real good luck with it. Still very little smoke and the plug runs clean!

I was thinking the same thing.

That's a common misconception, that the higher the number in the ration the more oil in it. When it's quite the contrary.

We have been running 32:1 for as long as I can remember and they run great.
