Just bought a lone star -1 swing arm for my '86, am I going to need a '88-'89 swing arm skid plate?

If it's an 86 style arm then an 86 skid plate is what you need. I have two -1 86 Lonestar arms and both take the stock skid.

The moose aluminum skid plate I had on my stock '86 arm does not come close to fitting. Even if I drilled new holes the front section of the skid plate hits my frame. I bought the swing arm used from a guy that had it mounted on a lone star frame but its definitely a '86-'87 style swinger.

No need for the measurements as I just installed an aftermarket 88-89 skid plate on the swing arm. The mounting locations matched perfect, just needed to add a few small spacers between the plate and the swing arm for extra clearance.
