Hey guys.... This NGK Iridium was used with the piston/cylinder combo in this thread:

http://exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=411108&perpage=13&pagenumber=3

I just tore the engine down to do a left side case repair. This is after 40 hours, running Red Line at 32:1. Jetted for the dunes, 4000 ft.

My setup is in my sig, but basically a 265cc with a 39mm PWK. 190 main and I believe a 52 pilot. DGH needle from what I remember...

Seems a bit rich, but I do like to run it super safe. Thoughts?

That is definitely on the safe side. Did you do that chop at a certain rpm or was it just pulled out when you were done riding?

Good question!!

I blasted back into camp and shut her down.... May have been in the midrange for a few seconds.

I may have loaded it onto the trailer running, I cannot remember....

Why do you ask that, because I am doing plug chops?

NO, I don't... Are you kidding? Do you know how much work Dales are?

My friends are jabbing me because I have to change jets now.... Sheesh, it takes 2 minutes on my 39mm PWK. Do you know how long it takes to get to the sparkplug on a Dale? At least 10 minutes! Not to mention every change to the engine configuration has to be dyno tuned if you ride dunes, because you will blow the motor. $100 per tuning session adds up....

This quad is so easy... And once I learn the couple jets I need I will stick with them. I typically only ride at 4000'.

yeah my 250r and banshee are a piece of cake to work on,plus b8es plugs are cheaper than the cr9e on the cannondale i had.you probably remember me as "trouble" on the dale forum.i didnt keep mine long...lol actually got the bugs worked out, just missed having a R;)

I remember you... :)

I thought I had the bugs worked out for 3 years. Every month I thought I was finally finished..... sigh.

No offense but your R has to be WAY easier than the Banshee. My Dale friends came from Banshees and even the jetting stories make me cringe.... The R is easy access, no swivelling the carb, one jet.... :)
