Hi,

It's been a long time since I posted here. Soon I will be buying a 400EX and I want to turn it into a MX quad. I wont be racing so the 400EX will do the job fine, plus parts are a lot cheaper for it than for a 450R.

I already found a nice LT front end, but I'm clueless about the rear. I heard the stock shock does and awesome job, and that using GT Thunder link + revalve would turn it into a awesome MX setup. Is it worth it or should I buy an aftermarket shock?

Also, is there a no-airbox kit available around that allows you to turn huge air filters? I know the Raptor guys got one, it's like a car intake and allows to run a 8'' diameter filter. Just wondering if there's such thing for a 400EX. :D

If your not racing I wouldnt see why you would need an aftermarket rear. Maybe get a +1-1/4 swingarm also. With an converted oem rear and a link you should be pretty good.

I have an airbox eliminator for a 400ex that i will sell you. I dont use it anymore. It allows you to remove the airbox but still run the same boot as stock then the stock or aftermarket 400ex air filter. Mine is like new only used it for one summer. $20 shipped if in the US.
