Recently sold my car due to joining the Air Force. Before I leave i realllllllllly wanted to get my 88 R running with some of the cash i got from my car. My father bought this R brand new in 88(which is the year i was born, best production year for everything huh =p) and is the original owner which I love that fact. Basicly, just trying to put her togeather to run her before i ship out. So i cant do pretty powdercoating or anything too crazy. But anywho, heres some pics of the process so far, still waitin for some reeds and a pipe. Anyone have a good deal on a pipe for me? This jug is ported also. Also, thats a fatboy pipe from 90's, heh

I think that is going to be a really cool project just because of the history of that R and it being your Dad's.

Have fun with it.

you need to twist you exhaust up a little to get it to line up right on your first good bump that silencer will be hitting your axle and getting a nice dent and maybe your tire, and its going to melt a hole in your plastic at that location, i think it just all needs a little tweaking, goodluck,... i just dont want to see you ruin anything after all that hard work.
enjoy!!
