i Just bought my girlfriend a 89 250x my main question is will 300ex parts bolt right up?

YEAH! Just the motor is different. Some parts from the motor will swap but others will not.

the only difference in the chasis is the 300ex has a bracket for the battery welded on.

lots of thing will interchange but not very many of the motor parts will.

CDI is different so don't even try.

head and jug will interchange.

the cranks are different so don't try that.

I think all the gears are the same.
