new cell phone question.

hey guys, i'm planin on getting a new phone in a few weeks, what are good phones? is it worth it to get a smart phone? are the black berrys any good? any info you got would be great!

i have a iphone 3g and i love it but if i had to do it again i'd get the 3gs and it'd be the white one.. i have larger fingers and don't have issues with typing on it, i tried my mom's blackberry curve and don't really care for it, but she likes it and we can use it like a broadband card for the laptop at the races and where ever we go..

I have a samsung impression and really like it. I text alot so the keyboard is better to me, compared to my old iphone. I dont have the internet anymore so dont know how it does with the internet, but i heard its pretty much the same as the ihone. and I can have insurance on this while the iphone cant.

i have beat the chit out of mine and have no problems. i went swimming with it, tooks a shower with it, and through it up in the air and it landed on concret works fine.

ya that is pretty tough, said 30 min of underwater!, lookin at the keyboard type phones though.

env2's and voyagers are junk thats what 2 of my friends had , they now have the bolder, im not sure about anyother key-board type phones

Does anyone have or have friends that have or has anyone heard of what the samsung alias 2 is like?Im geting a new phone here too and been eyeing that one looks real cool and reviews are good...I got a delve now and it sucks wouldnt recomend,and i had regular phones(still nice ones)before the delve and i thought id try a smartphone and i can tell you right now it aint been worth it to me at all for what i do.
Only way id get another smart phone is if i got a new Iphone which also aint hapening...
