Anybody have a head gasket thickness chart or know all the common thicknesses? All I find in searches is the stock trx250r gasket is .01+.04+.01 for the 3 pieces.
My squish is a whopping .09 and the bike lacks low end power so I want to try to get it close to .035 to help it out. I will run race gas.
It has a coolhead so how does prodesign change the volume? Do they change the squish band or is it all in the dome to change the cc's?

you want to use a 18cc dome and a cr gasket. You will get something like 230 psi from it.

I'm not using a cool-head right now, I have pro-x cylinders. When I did use a stock cylinder and a cool-head, I used a 18cc dome and cr gasket. I had shaved stock head and with a cr gasket, it had ALOT of compression, the cool-head and cr gasket had more, hard to imagine how much. I didn't have a guage then, I now have one. My motors make 220 psi and the stock shaved and cool-head w/ cr gaskets still made more.

Don't know the dome, all I can tell is it has a very thick head gasket and it looks like the 3 piece design. If the stock trx gasket is 60 thousandths then it looks like if I use one thin piece of the trx then that should give me 40 thousandths squish. How much more compression would that give me? I am at 170 now.

chances are you have the smaller dome size if you have 170 with the stock gasket. i would venture to say that you may see as much as 220 using the thin layer.

How thick is the 89 cr250 gasket? Is that the proper year to use?
