01 300ex 2 issues

I am having trouble with the clutch, when the quad is cold it clunks into gear, and if u start it IN gear with the clutch mashed in, it creeps....once it warms up it doesnt do this, I just put this clutch in its brand new the old one was way worse but it still does it with the new one..


question 2, i have a horrible tap in the top end ..its actually bone chilling, i know the valves are shot as it smokes like hell but has plenty of compression. ........while i have it apart what am i going to need to fixer up right?
Valves,Camshaft, gasket kit, is that all i should need?

one thing i would check is if your cable is long enough to full disengage.

Check everything in the top end. Cam cam chain , rockers these are known problem, piston pin might be worn rod could be loose check all this and make sure its all tight feeling. As for clutch check the cable it might have streched and could make it not fully dissengage.
