As we are looking at next year will have to da a whole bike rebuild was just thinking it might be easier to get a new one with the upgrades it will have engine wise with the new cylinder, pipe and samller carb.

thank you

Tricky question....

Depends on the rules at the tracks you run

Many of the upgrades "MAY" be actually be activated on the some 2009 models...which "MAY" mean that some series including the ATVA will allow them.

This is a very grey area technically, but Apex seems to may changes each week and nobody ever says a thing, so who knows what the real deal is...

Not knocking Apex here, just making mention of an observation we have made over the last year...

the local series and races we run have no rules besides being 50cc. and 4-7 years old. As my son just turned 4 in august we will be racing this class for a long time unless we move up early.

I think you may have miss understood me as we don't have rules besides cc's we can change to aftermarket pipes and cylinders. I was told by a well know mini shop that I could add an aftermarket cylinder, intake, carb and there pipe and I would see 8hp from this bike at the rear wheel. This just be a bolt on and go no cylinder work. These parts would be under $1000 also.

We have a similar set up running that the other guys are trying to catch..

Don't have to spend big dollars and get the fancy brands with this set up.

it will be a mystery until the box is open , the factory has a mind of its own , and they throw you a suprise every now and then. We are expecting our 2010's to be here in a few days , then we can give more accurate details , till then it is a guessing game.

If they are on the units as planned it should make for a much improved unit out of the crate!!

"Expected" upgrades:

Full Circle Crank
Hi Energy CDI
Improved Cylinder Porting
Improved Head Design
2 Stage Air Filter
New Pipe (50/70 Models)

Obviously the pipe upgrade is the most exciting upgrade to us....allowing the 50/70 to perform at a higher level!!

can someone explain what a full circle crank does. I know everyone says there better but I don't know the difference.

Our units are due into FL on November 14th with these mods on them...

Some of the intial 2010s may not have these...ask before purchasing to be safe.

The 50s will also have the small carbs on them!!
