my riding buddy bought a 81 yz250 from one of his shop teachers last fall. the bike has a fresh rebuild with only like 15 hours on it. he paid 400$$ for it, and put about $50 into it for clutch cable and something else. anyway, he wants to sell it cuz he's getting a few tatoo's:rolleyes: , and he needs the money (tatoo parlor charges $100\hour:huh )he wants $400 for it. I've got $200 saved now, and i want your appinions as to whether i should save the other $200 and buy it, of put the money into the EX. the bike is wicked fast, he smoked my 400 with it and even beat his uncles raptor in a straight line.

if I remember correctly, the 81 yz250 is air cooled. the 82's were the first liquid cooled bikes. no, its probably not worth the 400 he is asking.

It's a 12 yr old bike I'd throw the money in to the EX! You know, if it was me. :D Then again the ONLY 2 stroke I would buy would be an R. :blah

you mean 21 yr old right???

But anyway, I dont think its really worth it. You'll proabably end up dumping more than what you paid into it in a while anyway. BTW- Since your a polaris owner, do you think Scrambler lights would work on a trailblazer???

i am reasonably sure that scrambler lights would work on a trailblazer. especially since the scrambler 400 was basically changed to the trailblazer 400. my guess would be to just buy the handlebar\clamp for the scrambler and it should just bolt right up. ill check into it a little more for you.
