Whats my prob?

01 400ex, t4 slip-on, uni filter, pilot clip on 3rd groove, 152 main. 2 weekends ago it started smoking bluish (oil) smoke. Was planning a 416 rebuild but after digging into it a bit more this weekend I'm a little stumped. Quad still pulls hard just blows smoke anytime up off idle. Did a compression check after being warmed up and we got 72-73 and after putting about a teaspoon of oil in cylinder we got 82-83 which I understand but like I said I dont like the smoke. Really wanting some suggestions. I will be doing a leak-down test sometime this week.

hmm, leakdown test should tell ya, a seal somewhere might be gone, and its not rich or it would be black...

Im not sure exactly what your compression should be but usually it should be somewhere around 100-120.... 72-73 is pretty low.

I thought the comp. was down a bit too but the damn thing is still a "power house" or at least pulls the wheels easy. I'm gonna do a leak test but I hate worrying about it tell then.

Sorry and about the being rich but the plug is pretty carboned up and not at all wet. I dont know.

So I did a leakdown test today different times and the first time I was losing about 17% and second time about 12%. Not enough to say I have a problem so still no idea why the smoke. I'm open for suggestions again. Thanks in advance.
