I picked up a stock 1996 300ex a while back, well I picked up half. I was hoping that it could be restored but I do not have the time or money right now. The frame is cracked in about 4 different places and welded in 2, from what I could see anyways. The swingarm is cracked and has been welded numerous times, again trash. Plus the swingarm pivot bolt is seized and bent. I do not even think it is the bolt that is supposed to be in it. The axle appears to be sound but the sprocket hub is bent pretty good but seeing that the sprocket hub is not replaceable I guess it is trash. The motor has a cracked case from where the chain jumped off. Anyways, the quad still has a quite a few salvageable parts such as:

Some of these parts could use a coat of paint and would look brand new. Again, I am not sure to what extent the engine is damaged to. I know the case on the left side is trashed but the guy said that it did run pretty good before that. I do not think it has any work done to it. If there is anything you need from the motor just let me know and I can try to find out what condition it is in. I plan on tearing it down in the next couple of weeks. The electrical’s are all there but I cannot tell if they are good or not because I do not have mine running to plug them into. Visually they all appear to be ok though but unfortunately visual cannot tell you if they work. All three shocks are there but the fronts have been welded and the bushings are shot. They will probably end up getting trashed. I assume they are blown. The rear shock may be salvable but it looks pretty rough. The fuel tank is also there but is patched on the bottom. I will have to fill to see to it holds. The petcock appears to be in working condition though. I think that is about everything that is any good on the bike. If you need anything or would like a picture let me know and we can go from there. Each part will be inspected closer with interest. My email is Bmedlin85@yahoo.com. Thanks for taking the time to read all of this non-sense. Have a great day.
