Should I buy a CR250/400EX from service honda?? I have been told that they would vibrate like mad?? See here is th plan...... I have a 400 EX with alot of aftermarket parts on it, I was planning on swapping all these parts out and selling my old 400EX with all the stock parts that will come with this one.But Ihave a new axle and it will go on it. So I will sell My 2001 Honda 400EX with stock everything except, LSR axle, Pro Curcuit T-4 pipe, Renthal handle bars, and a Hydrolic clutch. I would prolly sell it for around $4,500-$4,000. This sound like a good plan to you?? and also would my hydrolic clutch fit on that CR250 Motor?? Thanks for all your help!!

um the motor might vibrate somewhat but i thought they had counter balancers in them. correct me if i am wrong about that. i dont know why they just dont rubber mount the motors? your plan sounds good man

Austin, if they counterbalanced it then go for it. Call them and find out!!

The stock CR motors dont have a counterbalancer, only the TRX 250 motors do. They might have put a different crank in the CR motor, but doubt it, to much money for a little vibrating.

Arent they charging like 8K for them?
You could do your own engine swap for cheaper than that

your better off selling that 400ex and buying a good condition modded one, and you will save. and for $8,000 (the price they want for the convertion 250r/400ex) you can have one of the badest 250r's on the site

youll never get 4000+ for a stock 400ex.:o

and the servicehonda cr250 has no counter balancer.

you get a 400ex with a gusseted frame and a cr250 motor.

I do not think its worth the money.

I could build a R for less and be WAY ahead on mods for $8000
and thats with a aftermarket frame not the junk mildsteel honda uses on the 400ex.
