not in your list but i prefer holeshot HD's if your riding in really wet tough areas. they are a little heavey but they last a long time. it all really depends on the conditions your in. btw itp is made in the usa!

i have the itp xcr on my 400. they area kinda narrow but they used to be on my 250ex they ran great on it. but im thinking about trying the 20'' maxxis ballance rears. hopefully they will be a hit.

Razr2 fronts, Razr rears. Take a look at what everyone is running at the GNCC's. The numbers speak for themselves. I ran HD's before I switched to Maxxis. The HD's were too heavy, and had a very unpredictable slide. The Razr rears definately improved my laptimes.

I went to the itp trac stars. Sounds weird but in the boogy woods and loamy stuff these shine. Also once the deep grooves wear in they hold great in the line pegged out. :macho

I run the Klaw XC fronts 22" and the Knarly XC rears 21". I love them, but I feel like i have too much ground clearance. I have a good 10 races and then a few days of play riding on the set and they are at like 50%.

When i get new tires i am going with a 21" Razr II front and a 20" Razr I rear.

I was convinced to get some of these from. KB Motorsports and Im quite hooked. Mine are 23 front and 22 rear and the quad is just about unstoppable in the nasty stuff.

razr1 rears for dry, razr 2 rears for muddy, razr 2 fronts all the time.

Just checked their website, and didn't see them. All I caught was the X-Rex, which is a LOT like, or exactly like the Razr2.

I just installed the Razr Ballance 20'' rears on my 400ex & Im running them at 4 psi. These tires work great everywhere in the woods. Your friends behind you wont like them very much cause these tires roost like crazy. Unstoppable traction everywhere especially in the loose stuff and have great cleanout. Im very happy with them and Id recommend these to any woods rider. They also beat my itp xcr's by a long shot. Heres some pics. The xcr's in the pic were almost half worn & had no air in them while the Ballance had 5 psi in them at the time so thats why they look much taller.

I would like to know how those tires compare with the Razr2's for side-bite and slide/"spin"-ability.

Razr2 fronts 23", tall but never have a rut issue (there are ruts everywhere you ride, period) and it's a minor handling difference over the 21-22", IMO. Razr rears, which on the 9x9 Hiper, are a bit too short IMO, wish they made a 21". IRazr's for mud, have been wondering about the Razr Ballance, which the radials do hook up amazingly well. The IRazr's lack a bit of side bite in some situations, which the Razr Ballance looks like it's got more than enough lug, other than the $100 tag, look like my next set of tires. I sort of agree with DnB_racing, hardpack grass isn't a good example although it is on a Banshee, which if you ride it right, the tires float more than anything since they spin all the time.

his start had nothing to do with the tires, he started his quad way faster then everyone else.... he had good reaction time

when i comes to tires its all what you like and what suits your riding style, i have buddies that are hill climbing monsters and the run pro wedge snow tires all year round. i wouldnt be able to get any traction with those but they compliment their riding style.

i prefer ITP GNCC's but i think this season im gonna go with GNCC fronts and ITP quadcross rears, ive heard nothing but good things about the quadcross

I ran razr 2's two years ago. The tires held up great and are still in awesome shape with a whole season on them, but I don't think that much lug is necessary for XC.

This past season I tried ITP GNCC's. I ran them 3 races on my 400 and then put them on the 450 and the extra power ripped two luggs completely off and there are alot more that are torn.

After that I got 6 ply razr's and thats the tire I'm going to stick with. I love them.

Razr1 rears slide alot easier, and more predicatably than any other tire, in my opinion. They take some getting used to. But in the end, they will make you faster. Especially in the tight stuff, when you need to slide around trees.

Razr 2's in the slop work very well, hard to beat Razr 1's for a fast XC tire, work pretty well on mx too, if your the big tire type.
