selling the Honda. My Honda is rock solid and a blast to ride. Maybe once I get to ride the new one I won't be so upset at the thought of selling the Honda. I may keep em both, but running out of room in the garage and sure can't ride two quads and one dirt bike. I would still love to keep the Honda and mod the suspension. I keep thinking maybe it's good to have a spare in case someone wants to ride.

From what I've read about the DS450s you might want to keep the 400 around as a back-up.

Since the values of 400EX's are not exactly strong I would say keep the Honda and have two quads. In my opinion, if you can afford to have multiple, it doesn't make sense to sell your "old" quad because you aren't going to make money on it. Especially if you've had it since new, you have already suffered all of the depreciation so why let someone else gain from your loss when you sell it for 1/3 of what you paid originally? My $0.02
Plus, when one quad is down or your modifying one or whatever, it's nice to have a spare. I use my 400EX for trail riding and when we go camping and such to help keep the hours off of my KTM. A race quad needs a lot more attention than the 400 :p
keeping it is a great idea but i'm in the same situation. I just bought a 450 and now not having enought room for 2 quads pretty much forces me to sell it. It sucks to see something you have lose so much value in a short time, I could really use the money for other things like parts for the 450 and my car.

I am a bit leary on the dependability of these as well, but most issues were recalls that needed to be done by the dealer. The dealer on mine performed all recalls before sending it out. In addition as a safety net I bought a 2 year Can Am warranty. The price was too cheap to pass up since I was looking for a 450.

I paid $4400 and will have to pay the taxes locally since I am out of state. List on the quad is almost 9K. Due to some of the issues with recalls, etc. I bought the extended 2 year warranty which was an additional $650. I am not one to buy extended warranties, but with what I read it was a cheap piece of mind. Plus for the price I paid I was OK with it. And by the way it showed up today which was a nice surprise.

At this point I either need to leave my car outside, my trailer outside or a toy outside. Anyway I look at it I don't want to look like trash with ""it sitting outside. Not saying any of my toys are crap, but I live in a nice neighborhood and it would not look too nice to have it sitting outside daily.

I completely overread the part about a trailer. My buddy keeps his 800 polaris on his trailer in his garage so that he has enough room for his lawnmower and f150. I just hate to see you get rid of a nice four wheeler.

My trailer is in the garage with my Honda 400 on it, my sons 90cc quad and my other sons 50 cc bike on it. My 250 dirtbike is in the corner of the garage. I will see if can squeeze one in next to it. It will not fit on the trailer with the other 3.

Honda400-a bit off topic, but how do you like the Motoworks pipe? I think that is the pipe I am buying for the Can Am.
