hello i bought a 310 cylinder from ESR i make a good brake in.
the second time y went riding at the third lap the oring blow out and the rings got stucked.
i was running 188 main and 50 pilot and the needle in 4th.
185 psi compression
32:1 maxima 927
i also have a new pwr radiator.

i dont know why this happens....
HELP please... i am really disapoint with this setup.

What did you torque the head nuts to?

What color is the spark plug?

So you seized the piston in the cyinder?

Or did just the o rings blow out?

the spark plug the first time was black. when it broke the spark was grey with lot of temperature.
seized the piston
it seems to be a lot of temperature....

You more than likely don't have a high enough octane fuel for that motor. The symptoms you describe are detonation which can be caused by not enough octane. Keep in mind when someone from the states say an ESR cylinder needs 110 octane, that is the Research octane+Motor octane/2 method.

For instance, I've sent many motors out of country and a lot of times a 98 octane is only equivalent to our 92 octane here in the states. Your 101 octane is around 96-98 using the r+m/2 method.

Any decent motor builder worth a hill of beans should tell their customers this or at least be explaining the situation. Guess what, most of them don't have a clue.

maybe the piston/cylinder wall clearance was not loose enough from the get go when esr set hte cylinder up?

i asked ESR the dome for pump gas and in the instructionbs says 91 octane at least. i am using 98 octane .
the wall clearence is about 0,08mm

The same thing happened to me twice on a 310 set up, I did not know why, 22 pounds of torque on the head nuts, and 110 gas. I end up installing a new crank seal on the stator side and a new cdi box recomendation done by one of the moto shops. No problems yet so far after three months.
