Hi,

I just got my frame pc and have read in numerous posts to make sure and file off the pc in the grounding point. Only problem is the bike been apart for so long that I cant remember which bolt hole is the ground.

The frame is a stock 86.

Thanks

Mines grounded to the radiator support on the left side as you sit on the bike. When I took mine apart i took pics of every step so I could go back and see exactly where the stuff I took off went. I have a boat load of pics so if you need some more help let me know.

I have not had any trouble with leaving the powdercoat, and using external star washers. They dig into the powder really well. This way there is leess chance of rust. You could always try it, because it is less invasive, then if it doesn't work for you - file away...

Location doesn't really matter as long as you have a good ground.

Perhaps he is going for a concours restoration, in which case location does matter. No way Honda would let one in the Collection Hall (in Japan) with the ground incorrectly installed... (Yes I am serious).
