Well I had a 1986 xr100 with a junk frame but the motor ran perfect. I was at my local shop yesteday and one of the workers had a 1994 xr80 with a cracked case. He told me he would sell it for $100. I bought it took my xr100 motor, airbox, harness, tank and seat and bolted it in the 80 and it runs awesome. I'm tearing down the 80 motor and replacing the case. I bought a comlplete 1995 xr100 rolling chassis for $50 today and i'll put the 80 motor in that. Pretty good deal huh?

The xr100 and xr80's are EXACTLY the same frame. The only difference is the 100 has a 3" longer subframe and bigger wheels. Everything swapped over perfect and even the 100 seat which is bigger bolted up to the 80.

I have a 99 XR80 and im kinda surprised how well that little thing moves. Especially with my 220 lb arse on it. Only thing is the chains wear pretty fast.
