I just recently purchased two 9 inch rear Honda Rims. I tried an experiment by putting them on inside out, (or backwards, whichever it is) and found out that my LTR rear width is 45.5" wide this way. When the rims are installed the usual way, it's 49". My question is, will it work for me to install the rims inside out for XC racing? I'm trying to narrow the front and rear cheap as possible and with this rear rim inside out method, i'm concerned about the lack of a beveled edge on the opposite side of the rim. Any input is greatly apprecitated.
