Hey guys... I don't have the funds to pay for a new set of cases right now, so I am looking for a left side case only. Silver in color. NEVER DAMAGED.

It needs to check out okay regarding the bearing seats, and the case saver mounts need to be intact. Once again no damage at all please. Paint discoloration is okay, just no material damage.

Any help you can give me would be great. I have a few things to trade if that interests you, or we can talk cash.

My 250R is in non-running condition because of this problem (damaged case)...

Hey Carlos.... That is a great deal! Any way I can see the finished product? I will have to see how much money I have to play with.

Hey man, i would ask around locally about a VERY reputable welder that is confident in re fixing that. It may be fixable from the pics. I am very lucky to have an amazing shop near me for those things. if thats what it comes down to. good luck ether way

Ya, I have QualaFab nearby... I think it would cost about $100 though, and new cases aren't far away... sigh... I just don't know whether their welds would hold up any better.

James! That pic doesnt look like chain damage. Looks like somethin got wedged between the swinger and motor?

I have no idea..... I bought it like that, the previous owner was clueless, and didn't even know how to grease bearings.

Now I am stuck with this, and it is leaking. I tapped on it the other day and a piece started to push inward, so I thought I may need a new case. Perhaps I can have it professionally fixed instead...

I just installed new swingarm pivot bearings, so now there should be no more swingarm to engine case contact...

I think your right dude, like the swinger bolt somehow snaped and got driven into the case from getting on the gas.Broke a swinger once and that happened from the chain and torque pulling it on that side.

Or a rock or some foreign material got lodged between the swinger.

That repair job looks like chit. For a temp fix, you can try and form a piece of sheet metal real thin, and form it to shape as best you can, then jb weld the leaks spot's. then jb the peice on after it just to seal the trans oil in, but i wouldn't recommend it unless your in a real pinch. hopefully that peice didn't get inside. then def. don't try the above. I fixed a gas tank on my old toy hauler that way:D

The set mentioned sold, however; I have 2 more sets going to Powder Coat next week...I will email pics to those interested.

These will be one 85 set and one 87 set both in Black; both in very good condition (better than the $350 set) and at $375 each set.

Carlos.

Hey, anyone used this?

Looks to be a lot easier than the MIG or TIG setup we used last time....

did you check out the video off that page hts-2000. looks similar. I'm gonna hunt that stuff down, and try repairing an old oem head that i got with bearing pits in it. Just to see if it is worth a darn. Surface prep is very important.
