2005 heel guards fit 2002 400ex?

picked up a cheap 2002 400ex and it has aftermarket pegs with no heel guards.my gf rides this alot and id like to put factory heel guards and pegs back on it.cant find any for the older model but there are several sets on ebay for the 2005+ 400ex.will they fit or not?

I imagine they would but Id love to know for sure as Im in the same boat as you.

i'm pretty positive that they do. the only real difference between the 05+ bikes and the previous style is the way they did the headlight

im assuming they will fit if you can swap plastics between the years no one has mentioned changing the heel guards also.think ill bite the bullet and try if they dont work ill resell em.

Dont kill me but I have a 02 and a 08 and im pretty sure there different bolt on style for the heal guards.

your main issue might be the aftermarket pegs

i was planning on getting the oem pegs and guards if i could i dont figure the pegs(not sure of the brand) would work with guards probably why they took them off.
