I just booked my first jump. I cant wait! I have been wanting to go for some time now and I have finally got a group of people together and we all made our payments.

Has anyone else gone? Im sure there are a few on here, but considering this is a ATV site and most of us are adrenaline junkies, there are probably quite a few of us that have jumped.

I am sooo bummed... Kelseys 16th Bday is coming up , this is what we have been planning for a couple years now( I swear that girl is an extremist lol) we went to book her jump and they wont allow anyone to jump until they are at least 18 yrs of age .

yeah Tina, i think its 18 everywhere just because of the lagalitity of it. For everyone else, I have been saying that I was going since 3rd grade...lol. Here i am, almost 20 and i am finally going. I had like a quarter life crisis the other day and I am finally getting around to doing all things that I have said i was going to do and never did.

Its not till the 27th but i will definetly report back here.

highly recommend you have this video taped from the air unless you know you will be doing it many times. Jumping gets expensive real fast.

i have been considering the video tape. I mean hell, its only once i go, but its another 90 for it. The thing is though, you only make your first jump once. I plan on jumping a few more times as i am really interested in being able to jump solo.

No way and I said no from the start. Had a group of buddies who all planned to do this like your group...more than 1/2 backed out. :p Good friend did it though and they put the video to music and all. I will try to find the link and post.

They rape you on the videos. I had a buddy that went not long ago, and paid $75 I think for a 4 minute video.

Seems cheap to me. A dealership charges that for an hour of labor. So does the company that repairs kitchen appliances.

Think about it...video guy has to spend the day jumping out of an airplane and taping. What does it cost to have him go up in the plane too? Think he goes for free? He has to have the equipment and pay for repairs. He has to edit the video and then take the time to send it to you. He probably nets all of $20 an hour. I guarantee he has several hours in every video.

the that video tapes it works for the place. So its all in with the jump expense so i would assume he jumps free (which he loves doing obviously) and then he just has to video tape it. Either way. I have like 9 days until I go and i really just want to go right now

Around here it is 189. I dont think i have ever found a place around here that was over 200 either.

video helped me...realize I would never jump out of a plane. I get an empty feeling just watching the camera pan around earth before my buddy jumps.

Mike Tyson couldn't get me out of a plane when he was in his prime. :p

buy the video, 1st off you should know jumping feels like riding on a motorcycle @ a 120mph, it's cold when you come out of the plane (i jumped in june temps in the 90's on the ground) and the fall only lasts 1 min or so, if your not limber you should start streching for the landing (you have to hold your legs strait out so you can land on your butt) but all in all its great everyone should do it one time have fun

i know its been a while since i started this thread but.....Tomorrow is the day! Cannot wait. The weather is going to be perfect (minus the 65 degree temps) and there should be very few clouds in the sky. It should be pretty sweet having the Philadelphia skyline in my view!

I will be sure to come back on here and I will let you guys know how it was.

It was absolutely nuts! I cannot wait to do it again. I cannot believe i didn't go sooner, I can see myself becoming addicted to this. The rush was unbelievable and i still feel the excitement 2 and half hours later....

Stop kidding yourself!!! Its not a big deal. Once you jump out of the plan all of your worries go away. You feel so good the last thing you are thinking about is something going wrong.

My instructor was really cool. We went through some crazy maneuvers before and after the chute was pulled. I was the one who pulled the chute and it was nuts. Once the shoot opened, the ride down was just as good as the free fall (Granted i had the beautiful view of Philly to take in.


To anyone out there that is thinking they are too scared to go, dont think that. Its such a rush and if you are man enough to go jump at 75ft double, you are man enough to jump out of a plane.

well the quad part takes the skill that alot of us on here have (i dont do mx, most on here do thats why i said that) either way. Just do it. Dont second guess yourself. I did for a long time and if i didnt, I would have gone multiple times now as i plan on doing this summer.... I may go all out and become licensed.

i ended up paying 189 total. They try to make it seem cheaper by saying 159 and then 30 for gear rental...lol. I would rather them just say 189 total...lol. Best 189 i spent at once in a long time!

Skydiving is definatly the coolest thing I have ever done...I did it about a month ago...Got the video and everything cost me about 315 have watched the vid a bunch if times and plan to go again before it snows and get Class A cert next spring...
