Slides right in the frame. Make a center bushing to keep the bearings in place. Then use a 250r shock and linkage. Also you will have to use 450r carrier, axle, brakes.....ect. Doing the same thing to mine. :D

I won’t have mine done for a good while. It’s a hybrid project I now have stashed in my minibarn. Working on my truck at the present time. I smashed a deer and the mod bug bit me. However I do have some pictures of other peoples when I did my research. I do have the swingarm mounted to the frame but I still need to make the center bushing. Hopefully this helps.

I guess there is no way to put the 450R shock and linkage on with the 450R swing arm?

I used a 450r linkage on my 300ex. Although i used a 250r shock, you can still put a 450r shock instead. If anybody is interested i have a rear off a 05 450r for sale. Comes with everything but linkage and shock. $150 plus shipping.

You doing this mod for trails or mx or gncc? if it was mx i'd say do it.....trails...not worth it unless you get the parts for nothing.....and if it was gncc id go with an aftermarket swingarm made specifically for the 300ex and shock to make it as soild as possible.....less moving shock parts the less likely to break on you. look at that thread with the gncc build...thats a solid rear suspension set up

Id say for mx don't it, that's if you want to run nationals. They wont allow it.
