Well it all started out about a month ago i went out to a local track with a good buddy of mine and i ended up commin down a little short on a jump and landed really hard and have had bad back pain since and finally found a dcctor that didnt tell me to just deal with it its just a strained muscle and such and went in saturday to see a spine specialist and found out that i ended up herniating 2 discs in my lower back and he got me into surgery today but told me that i wouldnt be able to get back on my quad at the earliest in 3 months but with those 2 discs now smaller than the rest of them he said that a couple more rough landings like that and i could end up screwing it up even worse after the healing process so i was jsut inda wondering those of you that race flat track or tt i think it would be less fo a chance of screwing my back up again but what do you fuys think about that?

if it were me, I would look to XC riding and find another outlet instead of racing...or come to terms that you aren't going to get the holeshot. You have 1.5 hours to make up for a bad start. Get an oversized gas tank and miss one pit stop and you will make up for a bad start.

Go watch some TT and you will quickly change your mind about being out there. :eek2:

hurt your back again and you'll see how much you "love" racing.... my uncle raced and rode for over 20 yrs before he hurt is back in much the same fashion you did and he'll be more then happy to tell you that its not worth it to come back. build yourself a nice car or something because you'll never ride the same again.

alright well just oout of curiosity then has anyone switched from the moreracing side of atvs and went to the more 4x4 and lifted side and kinda played around with that at all and can maybe give me a little advise as where would be a good place to start as far as looking for a good 4x4 to staart with and eventuslly lift and everything like that?
