First off get the sleeve professionally installed. They will match the piston and sleeve. They will also deck the sleeve to the jug aslo. If you are going to run high compression, I would suggest an aftermarket con-rod. Either an IMS Hot Rod or a better choice would be a Carrilo rod. Getting a good sleeve is helpful too. I had an IMS 440 kit and did not have any problems, but there are kits that the sleeve will crack.
That is all I can think of right now. I am sure someone else can think of something. :D

Just keep the compression reasonable and get new rockers with the cam. This will keep it reliable.

12:1 will do a lot, but i don't really think it's safe on a stock rod. 11:1 should still do a lot, but be a lot more reliable and safe, and don't really have to run race fuel.

If i get a 12:1 piston then i should also get a new connecting rod, if i also got a cam would it help , and should i get the Hotcams get stage 1 or 2 . then i would have to run race gas
