Im thinking about doing it to my grand prix because im averaging 22 highway mpg with the 3.8l. It pretty much sucks, its like owning a truck only I cant haul my quad. Has anyone tried it. Has anyone got good results? Ill probably be doing it sometime soon.

My s10 I had use to idle like crap and bogged. I ran Seafoam through it and it ran alot smoother. Change your oil right after you do it.

I ran 3/4 the bottle through the vacuum line going into the brake booster. Let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Then go driving. You'll smoke up the whole neighborhood.

Like the K&N vs UNI debate lol... there is mixed sides. Some love it, some hate it. Some say it works, some say itruined their motor. I've used it a few times on my quad and it worked good. I used it on 2 vehicles a Dodge Dakota V8 and a Honda Civic I4. It didnt do anything, they didnt smoke or anything. I think its only vehicles that had fuel problems and were running rich and building up carbon or oil was leaking. It worked good on my quad though I ran the tnak down good and put it in it, sprayed it in the carb, put it in the oil. Cleaned it up and it ran strong after that.

You gotta run it through the vacuum line while the motor is running. then immediately shut it off and let it sit.

Instead of resorting to some miracle potion it would be best to start with and engine tuneup and inspection. Test compresion and plug wires. Oxygen sensor crossover tests can reveal a 02 sensor on its way out. If its over a 100,000 miles a timing chain is in order.

Well I did it to the grand prix and got no smoke and it seems like there is a quiet lifter tick now. I did it all right. Not sure but we did it to my friends subaru outback at the same time and his smoked up my whole house haha. Maybe i need a new timing chain because im at 150k anyways.

I'd be pretty happy with 22mpg out of a v6 :ermm:

i get poor gas mileage in my Civic. Last 3 fillups: 26.5, 28.4, and 29.7MPG. Slowly improving with less racing around but 30MPG is the most i'm ever going to see. The real problem is my O2 sensor that determines the A/F ratio is bad so it set my car on an automatically set rich condition. I guess I better get used to that with my car because the motor i'm putting in i'm lucky to be near 30MPG highway. If I had a vehicle that got under 20MPG I would have to fill up so much I would be broke. I have to commute to school, it isnt that far away but it adds up.

Either you have a gas leak or you dont ever shift. I know you have a built motor and all, but that's too low. You should be able to get ten having fun and 12 driving like grandpa.
